Vision Statement
Our students are at the forefront of our vision. We encourage them to be passionately curious, confident, creative and critical thinkers. By setting high expectations and standards, we endeavour to raise independent and collaborative lifelong learners and resilient people.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to foster, support and develop the academic and social growth and emotional wellbeing of each child in our care. We are committed to helping children realise their potential and strive to be the very best version of themselves. This is achieved by appointing educators who are caring, professional and enthusiastic about delivering a differentiated curriculum that is engaging, enriching and meaningful for each child.
Objectives
Our goals at Clyde Grammar are:
- To provide a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where children thrive holistically.
- To promote the well-being of students through programs which focus on positive and safe social relationships, personal health and fitness, and emotional resilience.
- To nurture spiritual growth in all students; to offer experience of Christian living through the aspects of worship; to foster the Christian ideals of love and service to others.
- To employ teachers who are team players, sharing and valuing the philosophy and vision of the school. Management will provide staff with ongoing professional development opportunities to ensure the delivery of current and best teaching practice.
- To work in partnership with our families, celebrating success, ensuring smooth transitions and collectively achieving the best outcomes for their children.
- To implement and deliver learning programs and initiatives that are forward thinking, in line with today’s society and providing authentic learning experiences that encompass the culture of the school.
Statement of Democratic Principles
Schedule 4 clause 1 of the Education and Training Reform Regulations 2017 require that the programs and teaching at Clyde Grammar must be consistent with, support and promote the principles and practice of Australian democracy. These include a commitment to:
- the elected government
- the rule of law
- equal rights for all before the law
- freedom of religion
- freedom of speech and association; and
- the values of openness and tolerance.
As stated in the Regulations the requirement of the commitment above are not intended to affect the rights accorded to, or the compliance with any obligation imposed on, the school under the enactment of the State or of the Commonwealth.
Clyde Grammar is committed to the principle of a liberal democracy.
- We believe in an accountable, democratically elected government
- We respect and observe the rule of law, and believe that no person is above the law
- We believe in equal rights for all before the law, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, gender or other attributes
- We believe not only in the freedom of religion, but also the need to practice tolerance and understanding others’ beliefs
- We believe in the value of freedom of speech and freedom of association, but also acknowledge that we have the responsibility not to abuse this freedom
- Be believe in the values of openness and tolerance, and value and respect all members of the school community regardless of background.
