Animals Around the World
In Science, we have been learning about animals from different places around the world.
The students have been exploring books, watching videos, and investigating information fact files.
We have been able to find out how these animals move, their features and what animal family they belong to.
Students in 2A have been researching animals and were set with the task of building 3D collages of their animal’s habitat. We have all enjoyed creating these habitats while learning more about our chosen animals.

This week, students in 2B will be independently completing our own information report by researching our selected animal before we create this animal next week using recyclable materials.
Budding Reporters
Students were asked to share a fun fact they had uncovered while researching their chosen animal. We then dressed up as news reporters and collated our research into a fun video! Click here to see it.
Maths Fun
This term, year 2 students have been exploring multiplication and division by engaging in various hands-on games. They have been able to demonstrate and build on their understanding of the concepts throughout these games, while having fun doing it!
Class 2A created a multiplication garden with all our times tabled from 1-12.

Each flower has a petal for our multiplication facts.
We also learnt about turn around facts, where we can show the 2 multiplication facts and the 2 opposite division facts.
For example;
2 x 10 = 20
10 x 2 = 20
20 ÷ 10 = 2
20 ÷ 2 = 10
