As the year draws to a close, we reflect on what has been another rewarding and dynamic year at Clyde Grammar.
Last week, I joined our Year 4 students at Portsea Camp, where I witnessed them embracing new challenges and forming strong bonds through activities including the giant swing, kayaking, dancing and trivia.
This term, we also celebrated the appointment of our very first School Leaders: Rivan and Jasmine. Both students have a long-standing connection to Clyde Grammar and will step into their leadership roles as part of our inaugural Year 6 cohort in 2026. A big congratulations also to our eight House Leaders. With their compassion and enthusiasm, each of our student leaders are already making a positive impact, and we look forward to witnessing their journey in the year ahead.
Another standout moment was our Performing Arts Showcase. With the theme A Night at the Movies, students captivated audiences through song, dance and instrumental performances. Both the Junior and Senior events concluded with a joyful finale that had everyone clapping along. Congratulations to all students for your incredible performances and to our dedicated staff for bringing the event to life.
Looking ahead, our annual yearbook will be distributed next week. It is a joyful collection of the year’s highlights and achievements and a wonderful keepsake for families. I encourage you to take the time to revisit and celebrate all that has been accomplished across our school.
The construction of our Collaborative Learning Centre is progressing well, with the roof expected to be on by mid-January. Works will continue across the summer, and we are excited to see the progress when we return for Term 1.
Clyde Grammar is proud of the diverse contributions our students make beyond the school gates, whether in sport, the arts or other pursuits. If your child has recently achieved something special or contributed to a community initiative, we would love to hear about it. Please share your stories with us so we can shine a light on their achievements in our new newsletter section: Community Achievements.
To our students, staff and families, thank you for your incredible support and commitment throughout 2025. Your passion and partnership are what make Clyde Grammar such a nurturing and vibrant place to learn. Next year will be another history-making chapter for our school, and we can’t wait to grow with you.
Wishing you all a safe and joyous holiday season. I look forward to welcoming you back for another wonderful year in 2026.
Warm regards,
Leanne Evans
Principal
