Clyde Grammar has been included on The Educator’s 5 Star Employers of Choice list for 2026, recognising schools that are providing a positive and supportive workplace for their staff.
The recognition comes six years after our school first opened in 2020 with two Foundation classes. Since then, we have continued to grow – welcoming a new year level each year, developing new facilities and strengthening the sense of community shared by students, families and staff.
Our Foundation to Year 2 Coordinator, Mrs Deanne Williams, said Clyde Grammar is a wonderful community to be part of.
“Every day is filled with laughter, positivity and the joy that our students bring,” Mrs Williams said. “Their enthusiasm and kindness ensure I genuinely look forward to coming to work.
“I am also fortunate to work alongside a dedicated and supportive staff team led by a principal whom I deeply respect and enjoy working for. She consistently looks out for everyone and works tirelessly to ensure our school remains a happy, positive and welcoming place for everyone.”
Years 3 to 6 Coordinator, Mr Greg Newham, values the positive and professional culture at Clyde Grammar.
“I enjoy the company of the staff and the mutual respect shown towards each other as we celebrate our wins and share our challenges,” Mr Newham said.
The recognition also comes at an exciting time in the continued growth of Clyde Grammar, with our first Year 7 cohort commencing in 2027, marking the official launch of the Senior School.
Our new Collaborative Learning Centre will open in Term 3, providing four Year 7 classrooms, a fully equipped gymnasium with two full sized courts and a large assembly space.
Our Principal, Mrs Leanne Evans, said the recognition reflects the care, commitment and shared purpose of the school community.
“Together we have built a thriving learning community underpinned by strong relationships, high expectations and genuine care,” Mrs Evans said. “Our exceptional teachers and support staff ensure that students feel individually known, building resilience that prepares them for life beyond the classroom.
“We are delighted to be named a 5 Star Employer of Choice, and excited to offer more opportunities for personal and academic growth when our first Year 7 cohort is welcomed next year. This milestone is a testament to the strong community we have built together, thanks to the dedication of our talented staff and the enthusiasm of our wonderful students.”
The Educator’s 5 Star Employers of Choice process includes a detailed school submission and anonymous staff feedback across areas including benefits, compensation, culture, employee development and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
