Specialist Classes – September 2025

From hands-on projects in STEM to creative expression in Performing Arts, each class has provided opportunities for all students to explore new skills and ideas. Themes of teamwork and reflection have been central in Religion and Values, while Library and Physical Education have brought added excitement through special events and whole school celebrations.

STEM/ICT

Students in Years 1 – 5 have been fully immersed in the STEM design process. They have been imagining, planning, creating, testing and improving. Using discarded materials along with a variety of tools and techniques, they’ve engineered impressive models such as bow and arrows, sail cars, and bridges.

Library

This year’s Book Week theme is “Book an Adventure” and we have our annual book fair running during the last week of term. Students are going shopping with their class to write a wish list and can visit the fair with their families before and after school. On Friday, 19 September we are having a celebration day, dressing up as book characters and having an adventurous incursion.

Religion/Values

In Religion and Values, students explored the themes of teamwork and respecting differences through the story of the Tower of Babel. They reflected on what can happen when people do not listen to God or to one another. In small groups, students took part in a team-building challenge, discovering the importance of cooperation and unity.

Health & PE

On Thursday August 21, our Year 3-5 students travelled to Casey Fields Regional Athletics Centre for the Clyde Grammar House Athletics Carnival.

The beautiful weather set the scene for a fantastic day for everyone involved. The students demonstrated excellent competitiveness, movement skills and sportsmanship.

A special congratulations to the students who went on to represent our school at the Clyde District Athletics carnival.

To begin Term 4, Guntaas, Partap, Aken, Maceo and Belle will represent our school at the Casey South Division Athletics carnival.

Performing Arts

The Year 2 students have been dancing through the decades in Performing Arts, exploring styles from the 1950s to the 1980s. They discovered the culture and trends of each era while learning some of the most popular dance moves of the time. Students then worked together to choreograph short routines that highlighted their creativity and new skills.
