STEM/ICT

Our Year 6 students have been eager to explore our new Blueprint Snap kits. Working in teams, they put their understanding of rotational and linear motion into practice as they built their very own model pulley system.
Students investigated how different components work together to transfer movement and the role of simple machines in making tasks easier.
Spanish

We’ve had plenty of fun in Spanish this term as students have revised concepts and language skills.
Year 6 students have played revision games focusing on verbs and how they can be conjugated.
Our Year 5 students had the opportunity to make a reloj (clock) and then apply this to their learning by stating the times in Spanish. They used their own analogue clocks too.
In Year 4, we’ve been dancing the Flamenco ¡ole! Students enjoyed the chance to use castanets.
Year 3 classes learned about health and wellness vocabulary. By engaging in hands-on activities, they spoke aloud to an animal to ask ¿Que te duele? (What hurts?), and make other simple statements.
Year 2 students focused on revising numbers with amigos (friends). They now know much more than uno, dos, tres (one, two, three). What an amazing lot of work we’ve done this term!
Religion & Values

This term students in Years 1 and 2 are learning about Advent, a time of waiting and preparing for Christmas. Through discussions, reflection and creative activities, they explored the meaning of the four Advent candles: Hope, Peace, Joy and Love.
Students coloured candles, created peace symbols and acrostic poems, and designed Hope candles. These activities encouraged them to discover simple ways to practise these values and share them with others.
Performing Arts

Students are working hard to prepare for our end-of-year Performing Arts concert on 17 November. This year’s theme is inspired by the energy and excitement of rock music.
Foundation to Year 6 classes are rehearsing rock songs and dances, while auditioned groups are using their lunchtimes to rehearse recorder, glockenspiel and ukulele pieces, alongside a select group of Year 6 students developing and rehearsing their own Drama monologues.
We can’t wait to see all their hard work come together on stage!
Tickets for the concert can be booked here
Health & PE

Years 5 and 6 students have been exploring the components of fitness, including speed, agility, endurance and strength. They participated in a range of fitness tests, recorded their results and developed personalised training plans aimed at improving their fitness levels.
Our Year 4 students investigated how their bodies respond to physical activity, with a particular focus on changes in heart rate and breathing before, during and after exercise.
Year 3 students have been throwing, hitting and bowling their way through a Cricket unit, developing their fundamental movement skills.
Foundation to Year 2 students have been running, jumping, and leaping during clinics facilitated by the Melbourne Sprint and Hurdle Academy.
We were also privileged to witness a fantastic effort by Guntaas, Partap, Belle and Laylah, who represented Clyde Grammar with pride at the Southern Metropolitan Regional Athletics Carnival.
Special congratulations to Belle and Laylah, who have qualified for the State Primary Athletics Carnival! This is an incredible achievement.
Visual Art

Term 4 in Visual Art is off to a fabulous start! Our artists are diving into a marvelous world of colour, creativity and imagination as they explore a variety of art mediums.
They’re building on existing skills, trying exciting new techniques and discovering all the amazing things that they can create.
In Foundation, our budding artists created beautiful, colourful butterflies. Using leftover printed paper collected throughout the year, students traced, cut and carefully arranged their pieces to construct their own butterfly masterpieces.
It was the perfect way to explore colour, shape, and pattern while giving paper a new lease on life.
Year 1 students explored the exciting technique of negative space painting. They kicked things off by creating vibrant, colourful backgrounds bursting with patterns and printing. Next, using flower stencils, they carefully painted around the shapes, learning how to make their flowers pop by painting the space around them rather than inside.
Our Year 2 artists shaped and moulded cute budgies. Using foil as a base and modelling clay to bring their feathered friends to life, the students are developing their 3D art skills and having lots of fun along the way.
Next, they’ll explore the magic of colour mixing as they create beautiful pastel shades to add a soft and colourful touch to their adorable budgies.
