Welcome to another exciting school year at Clyde Grammar. Term 1 is always a time of fresh beginnings, new friendships and exciting opportunities. As I walk through our classrooms and playgrounds, I am delighted to see students settling in with enthusiasm, curiosity and a genuine love for learning. Our Foundation students have adjusted beautifully to their new environment, while our returning students have embraced their new teachers and new experiences with confidence.
This year promises to be a time of growth and achievement. Our dedicated staff have been working hard to create engaging learning experiences that will challenge students while fostering resilience, creativity and collaboration. Beyond the classroom, we look forward to a range of extracurricular opportunities that will help students develop their talents and discover new passions.
One of the most exciting developments this year is the construction of our new state-of-the-art gymnasium. This fantastic addition to our school will provide a dedicated space for physical education, sports events and whole-school gatherings. Watching its progress will be an exciting journey for us all.
Our Colour Fun Run fundraiser has now commenced, and students have received their sponsorship booklet. They can create their fundraising profile via this link. The Fun Run itself will be held on Wednesday 12 March from 1pm – 3pm.
At Clyde Grammar, we believe strong partnerships between home and school create the best foundation for student success. If you have any questions or concerns, or simply want to share a success story about your child, please reach out to your child’s teacher or to our leadership team. If you are unsure where to direct your queries, please refer to the Clyde Grammar Lines of Communication process following this link.
As we begin the year, I would also like to remind our families of some important school car park guidelines:
- Kiss and Go bays are for quick drop-offs and pick-ups only; please do not park and leave your vehicle in these areas.
- Drive slowly once you enter the school car park.
- Ensure all passengers are wearing seat belts before moving your vehicle.
- Always use the paths and green crossings when walking to and from the school building or grounds.
- Helmets must be worn when riding a bicycle to school.
Thank you for your support in keeping our school a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
Wishing you all a fantastic start to the year.
Warm regards,
Leanne Evans
