From the Principal – June 2025

As the school holidays approach, I would like to thank our students, families and staff for another productive and rewarding term. It has been wonderful to see the breadth of learning and activities taking place across Clyde Grammar, from our Foundation students reaching important literacy milestones to the creative and collaborative STEM investigations in Years 3 – 5. It’s clear that our students have continued to grow, learn and thrive in so many meaningful ways.

Carpark Safety

You may have noticed a local police presence in recent days. This is in response to reports of unsafe driver behaviour around our school. It will also ensure traffic laws are being followed, including seatbelt use, school zone speed limits, and appropriate passenger numbers.

We thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for our school community.

Annual Report

Our 2024 Annual Report is now available on our website.  You can access it directly by clicking here. The Annual Report offers valuable, informative insights into our accomplishments and future objectives.

Pizza Lunch & Pyjama Day

To mark the end of term, we will be holding a pizza lunch and pyjama day on Friday, 4 July. Not only is this a fun way for students to celebrate after months of learning, it’s also a valuable opportunity to support our school. Full details have been emailed to all families this week.

All proceeds will go to the Parents and Friends Committee (PFC), who are aiming to contribute towards resources for the new Collaborative Learning Centre currently under construction.

Teaching Award for Miss Evans

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending a special event at the Arts Centre with our Year 3 teacher, Miss Bellamie Evans, who was awarded the Peter McRae Meyer Primary Teaching Prize. This prestigious award, presented by Monash Education, recognises excellence and impact in a first year teacher.

We congratulate Miss Evans on this outstanding achievement and thank her for the positive contribution she has made to our school. I would also like to acknowledge the dedication of our teaching staff, who provide invaluable support, guidance and encouragement to our graduate teachers. It is through this collective effort that our whole school community continues to thrive.

Looking Ahead to Term 3

There are lots of activities to look forward to next term, with events across all year levels, including:

  • Years 3–5 Athletics Day
  • Foundation–Year 2 swimming program
  • Book Week celebrations

More information on each event will be shared next term.

Wishing everyone a safe and restful holiday break. We look forward to welcoming you back on Monday, 28 July.

Warm regards,

Leanne Evans
