Specialist Classes – May 2025

With engaging activities that spark curiosity and creativity, our students continue to thrive in their Specialist Classes. They have embraced storytelling, explored digital technologies, deepened cultural understanding through language, and reflected on important values.

Library

Year 1 students are enjoying an author study on Mem Fox, reading her delightful Australian stories and learning about native animals.

STEM/ICT

Foundation students used torches and playdough to simulate Earth’s rotation and day/night. They also worked on map skills and strengthened their fine motor development.

Technologies

Meet Tech and Digit, our class robots! Students from Years 1 to 5 have enjoyed caring for them while learning about digital technologies. Year 3 and 4 students are creating animated sequences using the Stop Motion app.

Religion/Values

Students reflected on ANZAC Day and Mother’s Day, discussing the values of sacrifice, love and courage. These moments helped inspire conversations about gratitude and respect.

Spanish

Year 2 students have been using soft toy “amigos peluches” to practise Spanish vocabulary and pronunciation. Look out for the gato, cerdo, lobo and pingüino

Health & PE

Year 1 and 2 students have been developing their ball control skills, while Years 3 to 5 explored strategy and aim through target games. Congratulations to Annabelle Theobald, Rabab Kaur and Guntaas Kaur, who will represent Clyde Grammar at the Casey South Divisional Cross Country Finals!

Performing Arts

Foundation and Year 1 students have been exploring Drama through imaginative play. Using familiar characters from Paw Patrol, Bluey and Toy Story, they practised using voice, movement and expression to bring stories to life.
