From the Principal

As everyone looks forward to a well-earned break, we have taken a quick look back on this term — and what a term it has been! From Foundation to Year 4, every student has taken every opportunity to learn and discover something new every day.

From the Classroom

This term has been a term of exploration and plenty of learning. Foundation students spent time learning outside while Year 1s got up close and personal with some interesting reptiles. Our Year 4 worm farm continues to thrive and we also marked National Reconciliation Week with some creative activities.

Specialist Classes

With our Hoop Time team taking out the Grand Final, Year 2 students learning about scripts and stage blocking, and our AFL guests coming to visit, there’s plenty of new in specialist classes this month!

Specialist Classes

Year 1 students became budding circus performers after being inspired by the adventures of popular cartoon character, Bluey. In STEM and ICT, students have studied the life cycle of beans, and Foundation to Year 4 students have been learning how to perform a perfect forwards roll in Health and PE.

From the Classroom

There is no stopping our busy students! No sooner has Term 2 started than they are busy learning interesting facts about mammals, improving their addition and subtraction skills, discovering Melbourne’s history and landmarks, and writing their own instructions on how to make and bake delicious Anzac biscuits!

From the Principal

Clyde Grammar was an explosion of colour during our very first fundraising Colour Run, which rounded off last term. This term, students have been equally busy and active with a range of incursions and excursions — from a farm visit and city exploration to discovering the Smiths Lane Community Hub.

Specialist Classes

Performing Arts students have been creating some sweet-sounding harmonies while STEM and ICT classes have seen some amazing prototypes taking shape. In Religion, students learnt all about St Patrick’s Day, and Health and PE classes have seen students running, jumping, honing their balancing skills and competing in the school’s very first Cross Country event.

From the Classroom

Local police officers and CFA volunteers took time out of their busy lives to visit Foundation students and talk about how to stay safe in the community. Other students have explored minibeasts, wild weather, 2D shapes and how different cultures celebrate special occasions around the world.

From the Principal

My heart feels full, and I have a permanent smile on my face since returning from the Year 4 camp.
Witnessing the children embrace new challenges, demonstrate independence and resilience, and create lasting memories together fills me with immense pride and gratitude.
