Belle’s National Cross Country Dream
It was a photo finish that left everyone on the edge of their seats, but for our Year 4 student, Annabelle, the result couldn’t have been more exciting!

As Term 2 comes to a close, students have enjoyed a term of growth and achievement. We’ve welcomed a local carpark safety initiative and will finish with a fun pyjama day and pizza lunch. With athletics, swimming and Book Week ahead next term, there’s plenty to look forward to after the break!
Foundation students visited Myuna Farm as part of their ‘Animals’ Inquiry unit. Year 1 explored history and heritage toys, with a special visit to Coal Creek. Year 2 students worked on descriptive writing and learnt how to read maps. All classes are now looking forward to a well-earned break!
Students explored colour and light through spinning wheels in STEM. In Religion and Values, they reflected on their uniqueness and how to show kindness. Health and PE celebrated cross country success and teamwork. In Performing Arts, Year 4 students created their own slapstick comedy performances.
Year 3 teacher, Miss Bellamie Evans, has been awarded the prestigious Peter McRae Meyer Primary Teaching Prize for 2025. Her nurturing approach, dedication, and early-career excellence were celebrated at Melbourne’s Arts Centre. Clyde Grammar congratulates Miss Evans on this significant achievement and her inspiring contribution to our learning community.
This term has been filled with hands-on learning, outdoor experiences, and exciting excursions. Students have enjoyed a variety of activities across literacy, numeracy, inquiry and specialist programs. From STEM to sport and drama, there’s been something for everyone. We’re proud of their efforts and grateful for our supportive school community.
In their classrooms, students have been engaging in a range of rich learning experiences. They’ve explored foundational skills in literacy and numeracy, investigated the world around them through inquiry, and developed confidence in expressing their ideas. It’s been a wonderful time of growth, curiosity and active participation.
Students explored diverse and engaging topics – from animated storytelling in Technologies to imaginative play in Performing Arts. Foundation students investigated day and night in STEM, while Year 1 enjoyed Mem Fox stories in Library. Congratulations to our Cross Country finalists representing Clyde Grammar!
In no time at all, Term 1 has been and almost gone and it has been a busy time for all. Foundation students eased themselves into school routines and there has been hands-on learning and exploring across the year levels. Here’s to an equally exciting Term 2!
From learning how to form letters to meeting new buddies, and from fighting food waste to exploring the world of patterns, our Foundation to Year 2 students have been busy learning and exploring. Supported by their teachers, every student has enjoyed new opportunities and experiences inside and outside the classroom.
